Cracked block?

I need help.....My Rodeo has given me over heating issues since I got it 2-3 years ago, little things here and there would fix the issue but now its a big issue....since my husbands retarded Audi is in the shop getting the engine re-built! its got a hole in the engine block!

anyhow, my 1998 rodeo started over heating bad about a month or so ago, we could not find a leak any place and it was loosing coolant like crazy, I assumed it was evaporating in there some place, well after over heating to the point of smoking I had it towed home and saw all the water I put in spill out, we took it in and they replaced the manifold gaskets, oil change and coolant and all that, $350 later it was ok for a couple days then was over heating again, sputtering and idling very low acting like it was going to stall out, I took it in to a different place and they replaced the fan clutch, did a pressure test for an cracks and said there was fluid in a spark plug and thats why the running bad, well its SUPPER loud now (they say from the fan clutch) and every once in a while does the sputtering thing....

I am worried theres a crack in the head or something, but they say they checked for that, alot of the rubber pipes are cracked and worn bad, My dad wants to try changing out all the spark plugs to see if that helps at all, I am worried, I love this monster of a car but am so sick of this, I cant afford to fix it if it is a crack since the whole affore mentioned Adui issues.....UG, what do you guys think? could it be really bad news?
Im going to cry if I have to get rid of it and get some tiny roach of a car!

Thanks....:crying:

If they found water in the plug tube then it is probably a cracked head.
How many miles are on the truck?

What other maintenance has been done to the truck?

Tranny fluid?
Plugs?
Clean the EGR/EGR tube?
Flush the rad fluid?
Change the fuel filter?
Timing belt?

NO they have not done ANY of that.....there are about 135,000 on it.

The plugs are probably a good place to start. Also, I would recommend adding a bottle of Bars Stop Leak into the Radiator to hopefully plug the hole from where the water is going.

Then I would just keep it topped up on fluid and drive it til she dies.

A lot of the items I listed are some of the key things to keep up on if you want the truck to last +150k. If the Tranny fluid really hasn't been touched in 135k I wouldn't touch it now since it is already on borrowed time (they really need to be flushed every 30k).

:mad:Could it be one of the hoses, the 2 heater, or the 2 radiator. Or probably the thermostat or one of those little O-rings that conect under the manifole. Just a thought. Andie:):)
