97 Honda Accord SE Blinker Issuewh099470 04-16-2009, 07:00 PM The Blinkers work fine as long as I don't step on the brake. When I step on the brake the blink starts flashing very fast and when I look at the rear of the car all the lights are flashing. When I turn on the headlights the blinker starts flashing fast right away and when I step on the brake the blinker stops flashing all together. While trying to troubleshoot I heard a clicking noise coming from the dash and it sounds like it is coming from behind the glove compartment. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. somick 04-16-2009, 08:29 PM Sound like a bad ground somewhere. How your battery cables look like? Sam wh099470 04-16-2009, 08:32 PM Battery Cables look OK. However, there is a little white acid powder on the terminals. mpumas 04-17-2009, 12:57 AM Most likely the problem is a bad ground near the trunk area. With an ohm/volt meter it should not be hard to find the problem. somick 04-17-2009, 01:28 PM Battery Cables look OK. However, there is a little white acid powder on the terminals. I would not consider it OK. Clean it up with a solution of baking soda and water. Then do what mpumas suggested: check ground in the trunk area. Good luck, Sam jeffcoslacker 04-18-2009, 11:43 AM If you get stumped, try pulling the 4 way hazard flasher, disabling that circuit. See what happens. It could be some feedback through that circuit from a wiring rub or something... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
