Headlight Mounting PlateFreakzilla69 04-16-2009, 12:29 PM I was recently in a very slight accident, someone cut me off in traffic, which stopped as they did and he slammed on his breaks. I rear ended him (thanks a lot ABS ) and it broke the headlight mounting plate which later caused the perfectly good turn signal to fall out on the interstate, along with a section of the plate. The turn light is $13... the mounting plate is $80! (rockauto) :eek7: Of course Ford couldn't make a mounting plate for each side and make it easy, it goes all the way across the front and all the lights attach to it. Anyone ever replaced one of these? Any tips/tricks? Freakzilla69 10-08-2009, 11:27 AM I may try to get one of these at Pull-A-Part this weekend. Maybe some new lights too... and whatever else I can strip off that is compatible. For some reason, I have one cloudy headlight. I can't imagine why one would get cloudy but not the other. Must be newer? serge_saati 10-17-2009, 10:30 PM To get rid of the cloud on the headlight, you can use wax or vegetable oil to clean it. It'll remove the cloud. Freakzilla69 10-18-2009, 09:43 AM Thanks, I'll try that! I was looking at how to get the mounting bracket and it looks like the part that is broken is not that. It's what the side marker and headlight mount to. Would that be called a bezel? serge_saati 10-26-2009, 11:21 PM No it's not a bezel. For me it's an Headlight Retaining Plastic. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
