94 safari AWD flywheel replacement.MikeS144 04-13-2009, 03:02 PM Hello friends. I have a fun and daunting task ahead of me. I was in the process of replacing my flywheel when I notice that I have to remove the tortion bars and drop the cross member to remove the tranny. Have any of you had any experience with one of these before and/or would like to come and assist? I'll buy the beer. But seriously. I am scared of those bars or anything spring related. Call it self preservation.... Thanks. MikeS144 04-17-2009, 09:03 PM never mind. I got it down now. Just waiting for parts and she'll go back together Monday! Blue Bowtie 04-18-2009, 11:40 AM The hardest part is getting the last bit of tension off the end arms to allow removal of the half-moon anchor/pivots, then getting them positioned again for assembly. I've had a few episodes with them, and using anti-seize compound on the adjusting screws when assembling would be a good idea to allow easier adjustment. MikeS144 04-24-2009, 04:40 PM Thanks for all the help. I got her all back together and on the road a couple days ago. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
