'95 Park Ave OBDI port location?GMLoyalist 04-13-2009, 12:52 AM Hey guys! Just bought my friend's old Buick for my "summer rat" so that I can work on my winter rat. The ABS and CHECK ENGINE lights are on, but it runs great. I've got an AutoXray 2000 with the GM OBDI cable... trouble is, I don't know where to plug it in!!! I can't find it under the dash anywhere! I'm not an idiot, and have been able to scan every other car out there that has OBDI, but I can't find the port on this thing! :eek7: A few minor issues I have with it aside... the power mirrors will tilt vertically but not horizontally. Both sides. I am guessing this is just the switch, is this a common problem? Cruise control doesn't work either... again, common? Lastly, mine has a tape deck only. :frown: I have a Sirius radio I want to tap into it, and am wondering if anyone knows FOR SURE of a good interface that will work with the CD changer port in the back of the radio. I haven't taken it out to look and see if there even is one, and don't want to remove it if there is no changer port. If not, I will probably just use an FM modulator that plugs into the antenna. At present I am probably just going to put a stupid-looking casette adapter in it. :disappoin Lame. Anyway, this is my first Buick and I noticed that it's built a lot "tighter" than Pontiacs and Chevies and Olds, meaning it's hard to tear things apart inside. I don't want to do much of anything to it other than make it fully functional, so I may be asking a few more seemingly dumb questions in the future. Thanks for the help guys and gals! C man 04-13-2009, 09:21 PM The data link interface is on the drivers side right under the dash its more toward the right. And all though OBD I the interface will be the 16 pin OBD II interface. GMLoyalist 04-14-2009, 01:57 AM Are there any problems with scanning it as OBDI with the OBDII cable? I had that problem once with a '95 S-10 (not mine) but it turned out to be a broken wire due to a sloppy job replacing the heater core. Oh hell, I'll probably just go try it right now. It's only 2:00am, I've got time. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
