i was on the freeway and and it would not go pass 2 rpm so now when i start it to drive it it runs for about 3 minutes then turns off and i cant rem it pass two. i got a dtc p2716 pressure control solenoid but i dont know where its at what should i do

how many miles on it?
if you are under 80k I would contact the dealer asap. There is a TSB for this ans I think it has to do with replacing the PCM. If you tell them the code I have no question that they will know what you are talking about as soon as they here it.

Code# P2716 is pressure control solenoid (like you said), and is located in the transmission to control the shift.
If the rpms are held back so as to not allow shifting to a high gear, the tranny slips into what is commonly called the 'limp mode'.
Still under warranty? If not.......
Have an reputable non-chain shop (preferably an independent) test and inspect.
