2005 trailblazer starting issuesansongarage 04-10-2009, 12:05 PM Sometimes when starting the clock is reset to 12:00. A few times it has failed to even crank, wait a min. and try again and it starts. Im thinking the starter silanoid might be the problem. Any info on this would be appriceated maxwedge 04-10-2009, 01:26 PM Welcome to AF, usual suspects here are the ground and battery cables, loose or corroded. ansongarage 04-10-2009, 04:45 PM there is not any corosion, all wires are clean and all conections are tight. the battry is 3 years old but it is not slow cranking or any thing like that. maxwedge 04-10-2009, 05:25 PM When it won't crank look for voltage to the starter solenoid, look at the grounds on the block/frame not just the battery. Ray62406 06-15-2009, 11:37 AM Recheck your battery connection and also check the condition of the cable at the battery. The side post cables will go open where the wire and cable end meet. I had a similar problem with the 02 and thought I had a starter or battery issue. It was the cable and it looked great from the outside. It had internal corrosion that couldn't be seen... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
