question on chrysler trany help pleasewildfire1_2001 04-06-2009, 10:55 PM can i knock the weights of my 360 torqconverter and stick it in my 318 ????? KManiac 04-07-2009, 03:57 PM The weights attached to your torque converter are there to balance it, much like the balance weights on your wheels & tires. If you knock them off, you unbalance the converter and ruin it. If you drive a car with an unbalanced torque converter it will shake worse than it would if you removed the balance weights from all four wheels and drove on the freeway at 70 mph. wildfire1_2001 04-07-2009, 05:47 PM i see this is not a every day driver its a derby car thanks for the reply .. i have already got it back together and it doesnt viberate at all 360 is externally ballanced 318 is internally i just knocked the weights off and used it in a 318 thank you so much for the reply John81 04-20-2009, 03:34 AM The weights attached to your torque converter are there to balance it, much like the balance weights on your wheels & tires.
