Power control modual (PCM) replaced old one bad. but through all this truck still has no spark. Getting fuel can here pump. ctwright 04-04-2009, 08:12 AM Make sure you are getting 12 volts + to the positive side of your ignition coil and then get back. If not then check your ignition fuse first then get back. You can check with a test light by putting the alligator clip on a good ground, make sure it's on a good ground first by putting the probe of the test light on the positive post on the battery. If it lights then put the probe on the positive terminal on your ignition coil, it should light with the ignition key in the on position. j cAT 04-04-2009, 04:29 PM I have a 98 Tahoe driving down the road and it just died. ignition modual, checked out good coil too. Getting fuel can here pump. this could be a crank sensor ........pcm was bad also? if the crank sensor is bad you will get no spark...computer needs this to determine firing time.. check connectors to pcm cps,,,and all grounds... wafrederick 04-12-2009, 10:25 PM Check the plug in for the coil for a broken or corroded wire.Vortec 350s and 4.3s are known for eating coils and one cause would be a bad coil vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
