Tranny ?hayesums 04-03-2009, 04:18 AM Can bad cv joints cause a tranny to slip ect? Davescort97 04-03-2009, 09:46 AM Welcome to Automotive Forums! No, I don't think so. If the CV joints are bad it will make a ticking sound as you turn left or right. If you have a manual transmission there may be oil on the clutch disc making it slip or if you have an automatic transmission it could be one of the clutch packs slipping from wear or bad servo. hayesums 04-03-2009, 12:16 PM Thanks Dave. MickieH 04-11-2009, 06:13 PM What Dave said. Is it a manual or auto trans?? Usually worn clutch, or contaminated clutch driven plate on manual boxes. On auto's not so sure, but do they have adjustable brake bands?? Mick. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2013
