Its Electric!!????

My sons 2000 intrepid just stopped running as he was sitting in the driveway listening to music. NOW his radio is inop, wipers are inop, won't turn over at all, gauges dont move when key is turned to on position, He said he thought he could smell a hint of smoke when this happened. No fuses APPEAR blown. Any thoughts if this may be a master relay of some kind or the computer or something in the wiring harness???????? Please HELP!!!!:crying:

Test the battery with a voltmeter, should be 12V to 12.5V. Then check your battery connections, then see how much voltage you have at the starter. Sounds like a bad battery cable. Just my thoughts

Well, that's what is wierd... the lights work fine and bright the turn signals and flasher work fine. the fan motor works fine. What also is strange is that the car was running and just poof "stuff" started turning off and the engine stalled.

Has there been any work done on it lately or a aftermarket sterio. BY Fan motor do you mean the heater fan or the coolant fan? Just quessing but I am thinking igntion switch, instrument cluster or connections on climate control sytem. I will do some more reading tommorrow on it.
