I have a 1996 Dodge Dakota 4x4 with a 3.9 v6, and automatic. I Need a transmission I am told it has to be same & year from same model of truck. Does anyone know why a 95 or 97 model from a 3.9 v6 4x4 Dakota will not work? What is the difference? :screwy:Can't 96 model

95 probably wont have an output speed sensor. Yours more than likely has one I would sure think a 97 should fit.
