With the engine hot, what is the resistance of the ECT sensor? EDIT: I doubt this could be a leaking FPR because on TBI models, the fuel pressure drops to zero when the key is off. //2000CAYukon bradley22 03-23-2009, 07:39 PM Leaking FPR diaphram or ECT sensor. If it starts good warm with the jumper wire, the ECT is bad. Your other option is to use a scan tool and see what temp is being reported by the ECT. //2000CAYukon bradley22 03-24-2009, 07:26 PM ok i did what you said by jumping it.. still no luck did the same thing. i know the vaccuum is correct, its not the computer, its not the sensor on the side of the throttle body, i have no idea ctwright 03-24-2009, 07:31 PM Maybe ignition coil, ignition module, have you checked into these? bradley22 03-24-2009, 07:35 PM i have replaced the module underneath the distributor ctwright 03-24-2009, 07:42 PM i have replaced the module underneath the distributor I would replace the coil then, that is a common problem of a vehicle that the same symptoms as yours, not starting after warm. bradley22 03-24-2009, 07:43 PM ok, is that the coil that is connected to the distributor?? i believe it has 2 wires attached to 1 clip ctwright 03-24-2009, 07:51 PM ok, is that the coil that is connected to the distributor?? i believe it has 2 wires attached to 1 clip I'd have to see a picture to see what you are talking about, but if you are talking about the thing connected to your center plug wire on the distributor, yes. bradley22 03-24-2009, 07:57 PM yea thats it, thanks i will try asap ctwright 03-24-2009, 08:09 PM Here is a page with ignition coils for your truck, they are in the $50 to $60 price range at advance auto parts. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/partlist_Ignition-Coil_190_R|GRPTUNEAMS__ignition%20coil___ vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
