Auto transmission Trooper with 180,000 miles in excellent condition, single owner. Check trans light comes on intermittently when vehicle comes to a stop. It can be driven from that point, since it is in 3rd gear.

Does not occur all the time or under any specific conditions.

Can manually shift up from low to drive with no problem. Have replaced force motor control 2-3 years ago, and have a newer batter and new alternator.

Anyone have any ideas about this?
