honda cb750F ( 1:6 )denman2 03-14-2009, 10:07 AM I'm busy with a honda CB750F in 1:6 from tamiya. Here some progress pictures. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/P6230026.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/P6230027.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/P7280041.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/P3080002.jpg Now i came to a big problem:banghead:, my decals are dead. Is there someone who can help me out with other decals or mail me a scan of them. denman pirata12 03-17-2009, 11:57 AM What did you use for that wonderful Chrome look? The engine looks real! If you didn't say 1:6 I'd have thought you rebuilding a real bike!! denman2 03-17-2009, 03:52 PM Pirata12, the engine chrome is sprayed with Tamiya smoke ( PS-31 ). The rearswingarm is sprayed black. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/P1010001.jpg Also the chaingard and some more covers. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/P1010003.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/P1010003.jpg Some parts are sprayed in the first layer of primer. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/P1010009.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/P1010004.jpg One rear shock is assembled. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/P1010006.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/P1010007.jpg Now i came to a major problem:crying:, the decals are worn very badly. The decals for the fueltank broke just like the Honda wing. I hoped to get some new decals from Tamiya- netherlands, but they say the kit is to old an never will be rereleased( they say the same about the Porsche 934RSR turbo , I believe it was released two months ago? ). I hope the little decals wil be useable ( like dashboard, shocks, e.d. ). But if some one has decals left:tongue:. kind regards Denman The-Katman 04-06-2009, 03:26 PM Looking good, the shock looks real... do you still need a scan of the decals as I have 1 of these kits? cinqster 04-06-2009, 04:44 PM Really nice job so far! Your national Tamiya agents are talking rubbish - they often do (if the UK office is anything to go by!). The kit was released and Tamiya HQ usually have huge stocks of older decals available. If they don't want to help there is always Rainbow10; who are showing them in stock: http://www.rainbowten.co.jp/english/index.html It won't link to the correct page so search product number 0010900616001 Good luck! denman2 04-07-2009, 12:03 AM I have had contact with the Tamiya factory and they can deliver the decals. They also going to find out what's wrong with our agent. I'll put on an update this evening ( now 6:00 local time ). denman denman2 04-08-2009, 01:28 PM Here is the update:crying:. The rear swingarm is fully assembled. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0096.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0095.jpg When everything was dry the swingarm was placed in the frame and the engine was finished. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0099.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0097.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0098.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0100.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0102.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0101.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0104.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0103.jpg After a question from a dutchforum member i made some pic's with a 1:12 car, to see the difference in scale. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0105.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0106.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0107.jpg Here a pic with the Honda from my daughter(10 jears old ). http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0108.jpg And some pic's in the showcase. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0114.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0113.jpg denman denman2 04-18-2009, 09:55 AM http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0203.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0202.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0218.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0214.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0209.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0223.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0222.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0220.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0219.jpg denman btdada 04-18-2009, 10:47 AM the size of it shocks.... great work!!!! cinqster 04-18-2009, 12:01 PM That rotton old exhaust system is awesome. Congratulations. denman2 04-20-2009, 12:06 AM Great Job ! Can you tell us if there is the choice in the box to make a detailled chain link by link (like on CB 750 Racing 1/6) ? The chain is not as link by link, but just one piece. Thanks for all the comments:biggrin:. denman Adam Baker 04-20-2009, 09:23 PM Very nice work so far. About 10 years ago I did the FXE 1200 Superglide motorcycle. I'd love to do a couple more of the large motorcycle kits. denman2 04-27-2009, 06:34 AM Last weekend put decals on the sidecovers. The one with the blue striping is the original. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0229.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0233.jpg And because i'm building it like an well preseved users bike, i dicided to put on one cover with another striping like it was lost and bought anotherone from internet:icon16:. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/denman_2006/honda%20cb750/IMG_0230.jpg denman vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
