93 Dakota won't start after tranny swap.GMCjet52 03-14-2009, 02:02 AM ..................... rhandwor 03-14-2009, 03:58 PM The disconnected crankshaft sensor will cause a no start. You probably cut the wire with the engine hitting it causing it to look dirty. Walmart sells some connectors with threaded ends. They have a tapered bar in them you trim the wire insert it in the thread connector and push it over the tapered pin then thread on the connector. Coat both ends with silicon to prevent corrosion. ctwright 03-14-2009, 04:12 PM Have to agree there, without a crank signal to your ignition module you will not get any spark. GMCjet52 03-14-2009, 10:07 PM Thanks for the help, The wires were too short on the sensor to try to fix. Bought a new one for $41. Truck cranked right up. I should have know better and fixed it while the tranny was out. It wasn't too hard to do, a little tight but maganed to get it. Thanks. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
