My brake sensor has gone out. Does anyone have any directions or pictures on how to replace this part? I own a 1992 metro hatchback, manual transmission.

The brake "switch" for the brake lights or the level sensor that tells you your fluid is low?

It is the switch that is located right behind the brake pedal. Sorry about the confusion. Also, just to add, my window regulator has also broke so the window is being held up by duct tape until I can find a regulator some where. I'm striking out everywhere. I do have a buddy working on that for now.

Very good helpful info. If the fix does not work, buy a used unit on e-bay.

Thanks! I can't check it out at work, but I'll take a look tonight and reply back. I can say that I'm having problems removing the screws in the door handle area. I've tried using a screw remover bit but that's not working. The screw is completey rusted to the door mount.

Well, I finally got the stop brake switch and it was the wrong one! I have a standard with a four frong switch but advance autoparts received a two prong stop brake switch. We saw a picture of a switch for an automatic and we think that they may it. Has anyone else come across this? As for the window regulator, I had to drill out several screws because of rust. The regulator doesn't look to bad, but I'm going to show it to a friend and get his opinion.
Thanks for the information guys and I will keep you updated
