Does is make a difference if I get an K&N air filter or FRAM filter? I havent changed my old K&N filter in a long time, could this be doing any damage to my transmission since I've been using an old filter?

What year and engiine?
Fram filters come off of the bottom of barrel.:iceslolan:rofl:

Ac Delco makes good air filters for GM.
K&N filter needs proper oil and cleaning for it to work good.
Go easy on the oil.

Air filter will not do damage to transmission but a bad air filter can damage the engine.

Ac delco is the best filter for the money.
Good price at parts places/and very good filter.
Wix filters have extra good air and oil and fuel filter to.
K&N are also good filters but need a lot of service on cleaning and oiling the right amount of oil and the maf sensor has to be cleaned of K&N oil.

Keep good clean filters which ever way you go.
Good Luck

Yes, along with what MT-2500 said, A C Delco is the OEM filter for GM vehicles.
