started with this kit:

comes with a nice body kit molded on. its weird how the driver side has the front door only and the passenger side has a front and rear door. here are the stock wheels hmm....

so here's my progress after one day. suspension mods is done! model is dropped and I went with fujimi SSR reverse mesh wheels (to be painted alclad chrome) and aoshima stretch walls. the rear was given a bit more camber since they like to use wide wheels and there's no way to fit them with out the camber :D

the body has been sanded and ready for primer. I'm thinking of going with that metallic orange like the bare plastic but I'm open to suggestions thanks!

ferrari TR, it does look like the grand daddy of the honda fit :D

tightDA8, thanks bro! its a quick and fun project hehe

update time! I had the body primered as of yesterday and the body was sprayed today. I decided to go with the metallic orange finish so it stands out from the silver/black/blue/red/white cars that I have in my display case.

here's the tools of the trade:
basecoat - Krylon Tangerine
color coat - Chic copper nail polish :D

primer coat - gunze mr surfacer 1000

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v357/CRV18s/IMG_0128.jpg

2 coats of tangerine laquer

3 coats of copper nail polish. I don't think the camera captured the metallic effect though. hopefully the clear coat brings that out.

tomorrow will be the chassis (which will be painted flat black since its pretty basic), interior and urethane clear coat. Maybe I can finish this by the weekend to give me sometime to work on the 2 skylines.

thanks spideyman!

body has been buffed out after a few hours in my food dehydrator. definitely worth buying :) hopefully the camera captures the metallic finish. I'm quite proud of the paint considering I only got the kit last sunday.

decided to go with the same gray and blue mix for the seats, this was the suggested color in the instruction manual and I think it gives a nice contrast.

tomorrow night I'll finish up painting the rest of the interior and start on the chasis painting as well. Maybe I can have this done by the end of the week :)

A painfully early phone call snaps me out of my slumber and yanks me out of bed. The hotel employee’s robotic voice, reminding me that it’s time to wake up, comes next. It’s the final day of one of my busy trips up to Northern California and I’ve got work to do. Still half asleep, I grab my camera and gear and shuffle to the elevator. A bellhop, no more than 18 years old, recognizes the Honda Tuning logo on my equipment case. A bit of small talk leads to my asking if he’s ever heard of a shop called Vision Performance. He gives an enthusiastic thumbs-up and explains that its customer service is top-notch, and that his ’91 Integra has brought them a bit of business in the past. All of this is a good sign no doubt, since I’m headed to Vision Performance to meet up with its owner, Crosby Chan, and shoot a ’92 Civic DX owned by his employee and close friend, Ryan Ogi...Pick up a copy of the February/March, 2009 issue of Honda Tuning for more.

On-topic: pretty nice although simple kit. Not much suspension detail in this baby. I'm really looking forward to seeing this one built, since I have this kit waiting for its turn on my desk.

I got a bit confused with the response from nonstopcar :D

I had to redo the interior since the paint started flaking off for some reason. painted the interior in flat blue and light gray instead. seems odd with the orange body but I like the contrast :) got the stance that I want and added a bit of camber to the front as well. body has been polished and I need to mask the window trip, paint the lights and this is good to go.
