What is wrong with these people? Geez!NismoPC 10-22-2001, 10:56 PM Ok, first up in the I am a dumb ass awards is the owner of a Sharp Touring Sedan, Nicer than Nissan, Honda. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=597034836&r=0&t=0 Hmm? Nissan - Infiniti - Nissan - Infiniti. Oh well. Next we have a winner! Owner is Selling 1995 Infiniti G20 with a 6- cyl http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=597027357&r=0&t=0 Boy, i'd like to have seen that swap. Maybe its a inline six. :bloated: Sorry, I just saw these both tonight and had to share. :silly2: FlossinPrimera 10-22-2001, 11:02 PM Why would you want to sell that first G20, its in mind condition. Shit I would buy it for the interior. Jay! 10-22-2001, 11:07 PM I bet the second one has two more cylinders, they're just not attached to anything. They're just there for looks. ;) frogg 10-22-2001, 11:07 PM In a way they are nicer than Nissan since Infiniti is Nissan's higher end luxury cars Oh well.. They aren't actually cylinders, but rather braincells, and obviously not used... I don't even know much about cars, and I know these people are lacking some serious smarts! :p frogg 10-23-2001, 12:00 AM I know the parts are all Nissan, I was just saying the guy might have meant that Infiniti's are a nicer division of Nissan.. I'm in no way sticking up for him though :) :bandit: Apeman 10-23-2001, 12:07 AM That 96 G20t looks great, it does not look like a car with 105k on it. I really like the G20t interior, very nice in all black. A380Driver 10-23-2001, 12:11 AM HAHAHA check out a little excerpt from the second ad... Vehicle Condition To my knowledge the car runs great. Like any 6 yr old car there are a few dings but nothing bad at all. The leather could use a bit of a touch up on the driver side. I bought the car 3 months ago from a guy who was fat and wore the seat out a bit. Mechanically thought the cars purrs like a kitten. If you want more detailed pics just let me know! Bought it from a guy who was fat...hahahaha well at least he has balls..:) frogg 10-23-2001, 02:16 AM Hah, I know I thought that was funny too kris 10-23-2001, 03:15 AM Well, I dont find the humor in someone not being as knowledgable in cars as all of you. Granted, they should research a little more when putting up a auction, but oh well. Maybe I am just tired and cranky. BTW that first G20 is damn nice. To bad its a slushbox. Heh :) i dont think we were makin fun of what he knew...i just thought the "previous fat guy" statement was hillarious *grin* Andddddddd whatsss wrong with slushboxes besides the fact they are slow? :) G-Forces 10-23-2001, 09:15 AM Da'yam! That first car is in excellent shape, especially for a car with 100K+. Nismoboy1 10-23-2001, 09:49 AM they both are in good condition...and the second one only has like 71K miles on it, thats nothing  G-Forces 10-23-2001, 11:38 AM  greekman 10-23-2001, 01:15 PM i just sent an e-mail to the 2nd guy telling him what's up. i asked if he had some kind of crazy 6 cylinder swap or if he just made a typo. being a nice guy that i am, i told him to change it so nobody gets screwed.:) that 1st car is very, very clean. they've done some major detail work on that one. greekman 10-23-2001, 01:56 PM the guy just e-mailed me back. damn he was fast. he claimed it was a typo and that he was going to change it when he got home. i make that mistake all the time-what do i have 4 cylinder or S600 V12???? hmm, i forgot. stoneage_tech 10-27-2001, 11:09 PM that first one is cherry , i thought my 96 was mint but dayum , at least i got 50 k less miles and a 5 speed .wonder how hard it is to make everything inside black ? now as for that 6cyl g20 i did that conversion you see i had a extra 6cyl sticker laying around and put it on there it was worth 195 extra horsepower bringing the total up to around 320 whp . i had to get something more reliable so i got a civic with a detroit deisel out of a dump truck in it trying to find pics of that 1992 prizm type r mike FlossinPrimera 10-27-2001, 11:48 PM The G20t had an all black interior. NismoPC 10-29-2001, 09:35 AM UPDATE! NEW ITEM LISTED TO ADD TO MY ORIGINAL TWO: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=597255062&r=0&t=0 The best lines from this one are: I have driven this like a sport car. This is really fast than it look. Tired of looking at Civic and Integra? This car is different and faster. I have raced Integra LS Auto and Manual, and Eclipse GS auto and manual and beat them easily. The redline is up to 7,200 rpm! First off. I would never buy a car from someone who openly admits to actually driving it hard and racing it. Hmm? Second off. His comparisons crack me up. Integra LS Auto and Manual, and Eclipse GS auto and manual. Third. What the hells with the JDM Spec 7,200 RPM redline. All US spec SR20DE's for the G20 have a 7,500 stock redline for the '91-'96 production years. Another good line: As you see in the picture it has been in some accidents. Oh, and check out the windshield. Looks like the front end might have actually been pushed back into the firewall a little the way it is cracked. On a serious note. No reserve. $800 starting bid. Could be an excellent parts car or possible rebuilder. greekman 10-29-2001, 04:44 PM actually the older p10s (91-93.5) have a 7200 redline. so he is right about that, but it seems like we have another case of stupididty on our hands. for $860 it might not be a bad parts car, but if i had $900 i wouldn't buy another car, i'd buy new parts:D what a dumb ass-i have driven this car into the dirt. i redline it in every gear and then slam on the brakes. buy it. NismoPC 10-29-2001, 06:02 PM Originally posted by greekman actually the older p10s (91-93.5) have a 7200 redline. I did not know that. I guess I assumed that they all had 7500 since my previous SR20, a '91 NX2000 had a 7500 redline. Thanks for the info! donsster 10-29-2001, 06:27 PM Originally posted by greekman actually the older p10s (91-93.5) have a 7200 redline. so he is right about that, but it seems like we have another case of stupididty on our hands. I haven't seen any evidence that P10s had lower redlines than the other SR20 cars. My manual tranny 93.5 P10 had a 7500rpm redline. With the JWT ECU it went up to about 7800. As I recall they dropped the redline for the newer SR20 head design in '94 and then again for the new cams in '98. Don McLaurin NismoPC 10-29-2001, 10:08 PM This was my thought. (SR20DE's) ALL '91-'94 badged Nissan's had a 7500 redline ALL '91-'96 badged Infiniti's had a 7500 redline '95 - '99 Nissan's as well as '99 Infiniti's had a 7200 redline I lose it from there on up. FlossinPrimera 10-29-2001, 10:30 PM Sir, we do have a crack head here. Note, the windshield was broken by the air bags probably, that what mine did. NismoPC 10-29-2001, 10:34 PM OK. Maybe I should start my own link on eBay Motors specifically geared towards owners of Infiniti G20's ONLY. Here we have another incredibly intelligent seller: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=597336219&r=0&t=0 The title says it ALL. G20... ...OK! 240... ...OK! Sentra... ...WTF! A Sentra? Goes on to state that they will fit a Sentra SE-R. Arnt! Wrong answer!! :silly2: AWD Primera 10-29-2001, 10:40 PM Surely a Japanese SR20DE wouldnt have the infiniti marking on the engine cover? This guy is mental!http://abacus.sj.ipixmedia.com/abc/M28/6e9a3bf3e9cfa4d0a46ce6e16f/i-5_B_L.JPG stoneage_tech 10-29-2001, 10:57 PM wont our valve covers fit any sr20 ? id kinda like to know as if i ever did a coversion itd be nice to keep the infiniti valve cover so it looks like the engine was made to be there NismoPC 10-30-2001, 08:21 AM Originally posted by stoneage_tech wont our valve covers fit any sr20 ? id kinda like to know as if i ever did a coversion itd be nice to keep the infiniti valve cover so it looks like the engine was made to be there The '91-'96 will interchange for sure. Other years, I do not know. ex92g20 10-30-2001, 10:16 AM :First of all, thanks for posting my ebay auction on your site. My name is Hobie and I've been with you guys for a long time. I bought my g20 last year and I was so happy. It was my frist car and i was so proud of it. It was a manual and I liked it. I found this site and i learned so much about my car. I don't know why some people wanna start some hatin when we are suppose to be all proud owners of primeras. My car parked on the street and one dumb ass an into my car and destroyed my front left. I'm so sad that my car is wrecked. I put the infiniti valve cover because of my insurance company! I'm a honest person so I said i raced my car. C'mon, how many people raced their G20 huh? Think about it! NismoPC 10-30-2001, 11:20 AM Before this post get's outta hand, maybe I should openly admit that I was the one who started to post the eBay auctions on this thread. I actually started this thread. Here is my reasoning. If and when a person is getting ready to sell something, wether it be a car, a boat, a pencil, a piece of dog shit, anything, they should do some research before trying to sell it. They should be knowledgable enough to answer questions regarding the product they are selling. I read through all of the above eBay postings and found each one funny in therir own way and that everyone one of them has some type of either misleading info or misinformed info. This brings me to your posting for your MANUAL'92 G20. You list a lot of upgrades, and also state you have a JDM Sentra engine installed with less than 50,000 and a redline of 7200 with a 5-speed not auto. First, the Infiniti G20 was built in Japan, so I will assume that would be considered a JDM engine as is. Second, the Nissan Sentra SE-R ('91-'94) was built in Tennessee and the Tsuru was built in Mexico (Someone please correct me if I am wrong, please!) so there was not a 1992 JDM SR20DE Sentra available. (again correct me anyone) The 1992 Infiniti G20 and the Sentra SE-R both have a 7500 redline as is evident by many replies here and elsewhere. the lower redline started to occur after 1994 Nissan badged production years. The G20 kept the 7500 redline all the way up to '96. (I am not referring to anything newer than '96 models due to content) Even if you have a full out fully blown authentic sports car, you do not generally let the consumer know that it is real fast has slotted rotors to slow you down when going real fast and can beat a list of other cars. You do not lead them to believe that you have beaten the shit outta your car and that it probably does not have much more of a lifespan left. You have basically admitted to not taken care of your vehicle mechanically, cosmetically, etc. I know that as a consumer, not many would buy this car expecting a reliable car, but are looking at it to get parts from it if the price is right. NOTE: THESE ARE MY OPINIONS AND MY OPINONS ALONE. That's about it! :silly2: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
