The Mrs. car, a 2001 monte carlo ls, has severe front end shake when applying brakes all the way up through the steering wheel, it had a bad hub bearing on drivers side and I replace it. Had rotors turned and new pads, no change(they were slotted/drill type I bought these thinking heat was a problem). Its gone through 3 sets of rotors in 65,000 miles, 2 sets of dogbones. I was hoping the bad hub bearing was causing the braking issue and warping the rotors over time
Before, the shakes would go away with a fresh brake setup but would start coming back after 10,000 miles or so I also replaced the front brake lines a year ago hoping that would help. What else wopuld cause this wobble during braking. The car drives fine. I did take the tranny out about 4 years ago to beacause of stripped spines on overdrive shaft, that was fun

Have you had your tires checked ? You may have a defective tire . The steel belts sometimes will separate and give you a wobble or shimmy . Rotate the fronts to the rear and see if that helps . Let us know what you find . Good luck ! P.S. - Welcome to the forum , we're practically neighbors !

well i guess the shop that turned my rotors screwed them up. I bought new rotors today and it brakes fine now. I wonder why they keep warping. someone told me once they replaced there proportional valve. They said that the rear brakes weren't getting enough pressure/flow causing the fronts to work harder, any comments on this
