2.0 MFI Auto - Motor doesn't even exist in a 3rd gen J-body. Try again.

Common pre-mature problems;
1)Strut mounts going bad frequently
2)Head gaskets (95-97 2.2L OHV, just poor factory gasket)
3)Headlight wiring harness corrosion causing lighting issues
4)96-02 2.4L Spinning Main bearings.
5) " " " - water pump going before 100,000 miles

Everything else is pretty solid on these cars and only need replacing when necessary. Upper ball joints don't exist.

Tune up - Plugs, wires - 15-30mins
lower ball joint - Control arm has to be removed from vehicle and rivets need to be drilled out in a drill press, or ground off. Time depends on experience. Would take me maybe 1.5-2 hours per side. Normal person without right tools 3-4hours maybe.
upper ball joint - Don't exist on the car.
F strut - 30-45 mins each
R strut - " " " "
generator/ altenator - 30-45mins
starter -30-45mins
radiator - 45m-1hr.
battery - should be a quick guess of 15 -20 minutes
coil spring f - Same as rear.
coil spring r -
valve cover gasket - 10 mins.
timng belt/chain - Belt on the 2.2 OHV 15-30mins with right tools. Timing chaing 2.4L 4-5hours.
brakes f -30-45mins per side
brakes r - same.
a/c compressor -
coil pack - 15-20mins
shock/strut - see above.
shock/strut -see above.
Wheel bearing - 45-hr per side.
egr -30-45mins
oxygen sensor - 15mins
thermostat - 30-45mins
water pump - depends on the motor.
