89 accord radiator fan

My accord recently overheated and I noticed the main radiator fan was not working. I changed out the fan and still doesn't work. I did notice that it does turn on when I turn on the A/C...But it does not turn on when the engine heats up which causes me to overheat in traffic...Please help!

i had the same problem 8 months ago.
mine was caused by a malfunctioning thermostat and a clogged up radiator which didn't allow the fan sensor at the bottom to detect the rise in temperature.
the fan shouldn't help much in cooling the engine when ur on the move, and if ur still overheating, it's the thermostat that needs to be changed.
