I have a 2007 VUE and periodically (usually when it is real cold outside) the llatches on the rear doors stick and the door will not stay shut. I spray em with wd40 and work the latch untill it catches properly again then it is fine for a few weeks then sticks again. Anyone else have this probem? It happens on both rear doors

Check the doors alignment, make sure that the door strikers are in the right position, make sure all the gaps on the outside of the doors are all equal

I checked the alignment and it seems OK When I push the latch in with my finger it should catch and stay in until I pull up on the handle but it doesnt stay until I lube it and work the lube in

sounds like the latches need to be replaced, do you have warranty left?

I don't know if it applies to the 07's as well, but I just got a recall letter in the mail for my 08. the recall is for the doors (aparantly only the ones with body color handles)not staying latched. acording to the letter, the fix it to replace the handles with chrome door handles.
