2500 dodge van electrical/mood lighting?

I hope someone can help. My battery dies most nights. Recently got the van. The mood lights go off and on at random. Lately it just stays on. Yes there is a switch for Drive or On. Either way the light just stays on no matter if the key is not in or If I'm driving down the road. Usually the van will stay running once I start it. It will cut off at stop lights/signs unless I give it gas (usually it starts right back up). Other days it isn't a problem. Anyone fought this before? :banghead:

It's either a bad switch or a short in the wiring. There's not much else to tell other than it's time to take out the meter and start testing the switch and circuitry.

The stalling could have to do with the battery dying all the time. The PCM learns and stores how to control the engine under various conditions. Whenever the battery goes dead (or is disconnected) these parameters have to be relearned. It's either that or your IAC valve is dirty and in need of a cleaning. The IAC is what the PCM uses to control idle.
