Different tire sizes

What is the difference between 155/80R12 tires versus 155/76R12 tires?
I had a tire with a bubble and I had no other choice than to buy the 155/76 tires. What problems may I run into with this decision?

The diameter is slightly different. The speedometer may not read correctly. Make sure both tires are on the same axle.

I cannot buy another 1 because I was lucky to get the 1.

At least don't run it on a drive axle.

Those tires sizes are so close together that you can expect it to work fine. The new tire is maybe an inch shorter in height - so that corner of the car will be no more than half an inch closer to the ground. If you were going to try and go around corners at high speed, (at the limit of adhesion), the tire mismatch might affect handing.

Thanks for the help.

up here where I live if you have different size tires and get into an accident, insurance won't cover you.
