1993 GJC Ltd OverheatingCappie86 02-20-2009, 12:42 PM Recently relocated from Maine to Florida, brought my Jeep with me. Had the radiator and water pump replaced before move in September and recently had the drive shaft (unrelated) replaced. Occasionally the Coolant Sensor Bad light will come on and usually goes out upon restart. Motor running about 210. The other day coming off the highway temp guage was crawling steadily upwards and steam started pouring out from underneath the vehicle. Pulled off and let the motor cool, checked radiator and still rather full of fluid, not much leaking under truck. Appears the steam is coming from the rear of the engine compartment and any puddles under the truck have been very small. Any ideas why the sudden overheating issues? pkucan 02-21-2009, 06:49 AM I would guess one of two possible issues. Your thermostat is stuck closed and or your water pump is shot. Hopefully you haven't blown a headgasket with the overheating. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
