Got a Fiero in the Garage? I need a favor...Ragtop_Renegade 02-17-2009, 11:47 AM With my Fiero gone for a few years now (frame damage) I don't have one to reference. Can someone please measure a rear window for me? Old Lar 02-19-2009, 07:27 PM Trapazoidal shape 45 top 12.5 height 57 bottom. Ragtop_Renegade 02-23-2009, 02:32 AM Thanks! Ragtop_Renegade 03-07-2009, 12:39 AM Finally got around to measuring. As I had hoped, a Fiero window will work perfectly for converting my 3rd gen Camaro from a hatchback to a notchback. The general idea is to fit a short rear bulkhead, then mount a 87-92 convertible's trunk lid. With some fabricated sheet metal welded around the inside of B-pillars and roof panel plus a generic weatherstrip, I can fit the window with knuckle hinges at the bottom and sunroof type latches at the top. This allows folding the rear window down, where it will rest on rubber standoffs and be secured by simple latches or straps. With the t-tops off, the final product is a European speedster style body on a unmistakably American 1980's pony car. As an added bonus, using an unmolested Fiero window makes it easy to add bragging rights for "And it's got working rear defrost, too!". I only wish I'd kept the window from my frame damaged 86 Fiero. :banghead: I'll just have to hit up kick hill, I suppose. I'm sure it sounds very, very strange to anyone else, but the picture in my head looks fantastic! Old Lar: Thanks again so very, very much for taking the time to wander out into the garage with a tape measure and get me those numbers. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
