1990 ford f150 4.9 6cyl auto shuts off while driving. Changed coil, distributor, ignition module, fuel pump and it still happens. Have to wait like 10 minutes or till it cools down and then it will start but it will still shut off several times before I make it home. Has two tanks, rear tank hasn't been used in a long time (previous owner said it didn't work) I know others have had this issue but I have been unable to find an answer.
I've had the truck since July and it just started happening. Not sure if it is because the weather has gotten really cold (20's and 30's)

I feel like a sitting duck, really unsafe. Any help would be much appreciated.

Keep a wrench w/ you that fits the O2 sensor. The next time it stalls out, remove it temporarily & see if runs. If so, your engine's backpressuring (Cat Converter clogging). Been there.
