I have a 1996 Buick LeSabre Limited with 180,000 miles on it. When I got the car it had a check engine light on and had it diagnosed to be the throttle pos. sensor and MAF sensor. I repalced these sensors and it fixed the stalling problems I had. Now I have the tranny shifting too soon. 1st gear 10mph 2nd 15mph 3rd 25mph. It will drive fine as long as I shift it manually but it does lack the power it had before changing these 2 sensors. It acts like it has power when first driving then the power gets weak and sputters a little bit. It also will not shift down for passing gear. LBefore I cahnged these 2 sensors the car had plenty of power but ran rough and stalled now and again and it shifted fine through all gears also. Can anyone give me some ideas if it may be some kind of sensor or what it may be? Thanks.

Have you checked TPS voltage @ idle & through the whole range, up to WOT? Do you have access to a live data scanner? What brand MAF & TPS did you use?

I bought the sensors at Advanced Auto. Not sure of the brand. I have replaced both sensors twice in fear that maybe one of them was bad with the same end result. I am not sure what WOT means but I had the computer hooked up to it from an autoshop here in my town and now it shows no fail codes. Before I changed these sensors it shifted great and had plenty of power,

the tps is sloted and can be adjusted with standered volt meter get the voltage as close to 5v as posible at idle if volts are off it will code i think the two out side wire are the ones there are three wires to the sensor
