1994 brake lights don't work

I have a 1994 corvette and the brake lights do not work. The center brake light works but the other four round tail lights do not. They do work with the hazard switch but not the brake. Have replaced the stop lamp switch at the pedel with the same results. Have checked the fuses. They are all good. Is there something else common for the four tail lights (brakes only) not to work? The tail lights work in every aspect but the brakes. The thin center light below the fuel panal does work with the brakes, it just the four round lights that do not.

Well since the center one works you changed the switch for nothing since it obviously worked all the time.
And if the lights actually work with the hazard turned on it's probably a broken relay that's wired somewhere around the light area that controls when the light goes on or off (turn signal or break/light).

Check the weiring harness at the lights. The problem might be there.

Best of luck to you.

I'd exercise that hazard switch about 50 times- that is what is in common here. The hazards shut off the brake lights, when activated- so the contacts inside are probably poor because of caked up hardened grease. Working it a lot may solve your issue....

Agreed, you now have a spare stop lamp switch. A quick look at your wiring diagram points toward the hazard switch assembly and not the brake pedal switch.
