1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ Sport Automatic 4x4
Purchased 2002 Mileage: 98K
2 inch lift (Daystar rubber/silicon donut shaped spring spacer inserts, seated between upper spring tower mounts and coil springs).
Transmission has run at warmer temps since adding cheapo Daystar 2" inch lift.

2006 Milieage: 120K
Symptoms: Transmission slipping upon start-up. Increasingly worsening overtime until it became unreliable.
Repair shop diagnosis: Trans case leakage, low fluid levels, overheating and burning trans fluid.
Result: Transmission rebuild $1,800

2008 Mileage: 140K
Symptoms: Transmission slipping upon start-up. Increasingly worsening overtime until it became unreliable. Automatic clutch mechanism engaging harshly and abruptly catching gears and forcefully jerking the vehicle forward (feeling similar to releasing the clutch too fast when driving a manual transmission vehicle). Clutch would randomly (at fast and slow driving speeds) engage and disengage harshly and abruptly when applying or releasing the gas.
Repair shop diagnosis: trans case leakage, low fluid levels, overheating and burning trans fluid.
Result: Transmission rebuild $2,500 (w/2 year warranty)

Anyone have any advice or experience with this?
How could adding a 2" inch Daystar Spring Spacer Lift effect the transmission in this way, if at all?

Any experts out there on TJ automatic transmissions?

Thanks all!
