1 month of problems, some expertise pleasesamtheman77 01-31-2009, 02:20 PM I have a 96 JGC with a 5.2L. two months ago i put in all new universal joints because the JEEP was vibrating in the front end at about 45-50 mph. That did the trick and all was well until now. Just recently I changed both cv axles, had them professionally rebuilt and put in all new ball joints upper and lower because they were shot. I went to test drive the car at about 40mph, i start to get a little vibration and noise that seems to be coming from the front end. I put the car on blocks, ran the JEEP and wanted to hear where the noise was coming from. It seems to be coming from the double u-joint that goes into the front of the transfer case, i changed all the u-joints just two months ago. Could there be play in it that is causing vibration, they c-clips seems to be holding them well, i dont understand it, i thought mabey my axles were not installed right but, they turn just fine and are turning well in drive (while up on blocks), the noise is only when i accelerate to 40mph??? Any ideas anyone. Please advise. Thanks in advance. GRABAWRENCH 04-02-2009, 10:47 PM Hay you have a tough one there. Just from experience having my own shop just because a part is new does not mean it will not fail. If the problem seems to be coming from that shaft it prob is. I would rel=place them again and go from there. Did youu have it lined up after the front end was rebuilt? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
