95 chevy s-10 blazer 4x4 stuck in 4w lowFatboyBill 01-31-2009, 12:46 PM hello and sorry if there is another thread about this i looked and did not see one.. i have a 95 Chevy s-10 series blazer 4x4 and we had near 10 inches of snow fall recently here in Ohio. I put my blazer in 4w low and now when i try to take it out the the light lights up and Say's I'm in 2w but its not actually shifting into it. Its a manual shift on the floor, and i took the center console around it off and exposed it to see if there was a problem visible. It appears to be vacuum controlled and the plunger that is hooked to the shift lever gives no Resistance if I put it back in 4wl it is very hard to get it to engage and even harder to get it out the button does not want to push down to release it . when the lever is out of the 4wl position there is no Resistance towards the button or the lever it can move freely the lights indicate the proper position but never actually moves from 4wl any help would be appreciated thanks Fat Boy Bill MT-2500 01-31-2009, 07:37 PM Sounds like the floor shifter needs cleaned and lubed. Also check shifting arms and linkage for being lose. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
