Amp Recommendations

Hey Guys,

Looking into buying an amp for my rear speakers. I dont want anything special, just something with maybe 100W x2 so I can purchase some good sounding aftermarket speakers.

My issue would be I want the amp to have high level inputs.

Also I would prefir as "low-profile" as possible so I can tuck it under a seat or hide it somewhere.

Have any suggestions?

Thanks!

BTW, Paul, that is one SICK project! Nice work. I would have commented on your page, but I really dont know what I'm talking about when it comes to car audio, so I'd make myself look like an idiot :lol2:

most of the nicer amps do not have speaker level inputs. Try the profile amps but you will have to look around.

I'm not sure. Maybe 100 bucks topps for a low wattage decent quality.

Thanks Paul. I will check into Profile.

don't buy the brand that you never heard of. average aftermarket speakers will have ~50 watts RMS (which is what I have) each. so you are looking at 100 watts RMS total ..Yea you can get something like that for around 100 bucks
just look for ads in pennysaverusa.com

I wish more companies made decent quality, small amps in the 50-60X4 range

unfortunately, it won't be in the $100 range. It still might be worth looking into, Jacob and the boys have been on the ball over there at sundown.

yea i know, but sadly i noticing there pricing starting to up withthe advanement. like the sax100.4 is 395. it is worth it but i will never use the features that make it cost more money. so i going to try eclipse new line of amps. anyway. would something like this work for you. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7470_Eclipse+XA2000.html

you might be able to find it cheaper on ebay

The Eclipse xa2000 is a good amp. I just bought it installed, it really sounds good powering my front component speakers and has enough power for me.:iceslolan

But it doesn't have high level inputs.
