My temperature control cable on a 2001 Honda Passport no longer functions right. It sounded like something broke and fell behind the dash when I changed from hottest to coldest. Upon opening the dash up I see the cable from the hot/cold selector is running loosely down to the linkages behind the cd /stereo unit. I can move the linkages manually if I take out the glove compartment, and the temperature selection will change so I suspect the problem is the cable does not have enough tension on it. The cable is not running through the guide on the top of the whole climate control unit so it appears a clip to hold it in the guide broke. Are these clips available, or is a whole new unit needed?

PS this forum guided me quite nicely through the intermittant wiper problem fix via the $5 relay.:)
