I have a 99 Eclipse that the battery dies if the car sits without running
for less than 24 hours, Old battery was not name brand and thought to
be the problem. Where to I begin to look for voltage drop on this car and
how.

Welcome to AF.
Was the battery replaced then since it's old? If not, replace that. If it was replaced then you probably have a drain somewhere. You would do this by disconnecting the negative battery terminal from the battery and hooking an Ohms meter to it. Start pulling fuses and see if the drain changes. If it does, then there's something wrong there. Start with the battery first.
Also, how old is the alternator? May want to get that tested out too.

Thanks for the tips, the battery has been replaced, when I disconnect
the negative cable from the battery I am going to hook up the ohm meter
to the negative or positive, and what would i be looking for in a drain,
high or low resistance
The alternator may still be the issue, when the car does start the alternator
squeels bad. When the headlights are on, and other power options, the lights
dim and get brighter when you give it gas.
It only doesnt start when it sits for a day, No lights being set off for the charging system.
thanks for your advice
