Question about alternator and wheel bearing

My friend's friend has a 1996 Sebring that needs a new alternator and wheel bearing. He said a local shop quoted him $686 just for labor. I'm very skilled in the mechanic area and I thought that was way too high so I was thinking about charging him $100, since he already has the parts. But when I started thinking about it, maybe there's something complex about working on either the alternator or wheel bearing.

Does anyone know how difficult it is to replace a wheel bearing/alternator on one of these cars? Also, is the bearing a hub/bearing assembly or can the bearing just be replaced?

Thanks for any help,

Steve

It all depends on what year and engine. My 03 could not change out just the bearing. Had to be the hub assy. Easier and less time consuming. Alternator is also fairly easy. Three bolts and tensioner. Your done.
