Rim width - is wider better?cdencore 01-17-2009, 06:15 PM I have decided that 205/65/15 Goodyear Assurance ComforTred tires are the ones I want. According to the Goodyear website, any rim width from 5.5" to 7.5" can work. I am currently considering 2 alloy rims. One has 6.5" rim width and the other has a 7.0" rim width. Both are in the same price/value range. Ignoring aesthetics, how do I decide which one is the better choice? CapriRacer 01-17-2009, 09:59 PM For practical purposes, this rim width change will have little effect compared to the type of tire you purchase. Plus offset will affect things as well. It's hard to predict. cdencore 01-18-2009, 12:21 AM For practical purposes, this rim width change will have little effect compared to the type of tire you purchase. How does rim width by itself affect the situation? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
