96 Golf won't start

96 Golf 2.0 won't start. No power to the fuel pump. It will start if I spray starter fluid into the intake. Any ideas why I don't have power to the pump?
ps I still don't have the wipers fixed either.

First, check your fuses if you haven't already. If it's not that, then check the fuel pump relay. (The relay is located under the dash on the driver's side mounted in relay panel on the firewall.) If it's not that, then your fuel pump is probably bad.
