98 Rodeo Catyl. exhaust flange to headermatandnat3 01-12-2009, 06:22 PM I recently replaced my exhaust from the catalytic converters to the tailpipe. Use all new grade 8 nuts and bolts and new gaskets. The only part that wasn't new was the 6 studs and bolts coming out of the headers 3 on each side. The treads were pretty bad; a 2 on a scale of 1-10. The first few days were ok after installation but I can hear the leaks around the connection. The only way I will close the gaps is with new studs. I know I need to replace them and I read from a thread somewhere else in AF that I need an E-12 TORX socket. Is that metric or standard? Can anyone give me a name of the parts (studs) I need to order and where from? Will I need new gaskets as they are about 2 months old now? Any tips for easy removal? Thanks, Matt matandnat3 01-22-2009, 10:29 PM I recently replaced my exhaust from the catalytic converters to the tailpipe. Use all new grade 8 nuts and bolts and new gaskets. Thanks, Matt I now know the studs in question are standard double ended studs TorxStem is a trademark stud but I can't find it anywhere. Anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this exhaust leak? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
