Zubski Zubski 01-13-2009, 07:52 PM Update: I have the body parts cleaned and primed. They need a little more cleaning and then its ready for paint. This time i am going to try Testor Yellow. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P1130126.jpg Frame and engine are also started. Cleaning and assembly is complete jsut need some paint. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P1130127.jpg Thanks for viewing Zubski davesans 01-18-2009, 09:22 PM Nice bike should be a fun build I don't know about using that paint though it's enamel and dries in layers you put to much on at one time the first layer won't dry I would try Tamiya TS34 Camel Yellow lacquer it will dry a lot fast too. Zubski 01-19-2009, 03:42 PM Thanks. I have camel yellow i just wasn't sure if i should use it because the instrutions say to use yellow. kans0002 01-20-2009, 02:28 PM Hey Zubski, Looks awesome so far! I love this livery. I would definitely agree with Dave and go with the TS-34. I finished this bike recently and used that same color with awesome results. Just one word of warning, because that yellow is so light, make sure to build up the color slowly in light coats, or else you will have uneven coverage, runs, and drips, and have to strip it and redo the paint job (like I did the first time). Good luck Stu Zubski 01-22-2009, 07:58 PM Thanks kans Body parts have been painted and started to decal. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P1220126.jpg Thanks for viewing Zubski joelwideqvist 01-23-2009, 07:30 AM Is the blue painted or decal? Looks like decal but if it is you've achieved a very snug fit! Nice /Joel Zubski 01-23-2009, 01:32 PM Is the blue painted or decal? Looks like decal but if it is you've achieved a very snug fit! Nice /Joel yes it is a decal:iceslolan Zubski 01-25-2009, 03:20 PM More decals applied. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P1250126-1.jpg Thanks for viewing Zubski joelwideqvist 01-25-2009, 03:34 PM Well, I'm at it again, how do you get these decals to conform so perfectly? I think I used Studio 27 decals for my build and I had real problems getting them over those sharp edges on the RCV cowls. The air vent hole was a nightmare, if I recall it correctly... /Joel Zubski 01-30-2009, 01:06 PM Decals done. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P1300126.jpg Well, I'm at it again, how do you get these decals to conform so perfectly? Being very CAREFUL not to wreck them. ketje 02-01-2009, 04:16 AM well done so far. I love the decals. Zubski 02-03-2009, 06:50 PM joelwideqvist 02-04-2009, 08:46 AM What do you mean with careful? Do you just add the fluids or does it involve some kind of work with hair dryer or sponge? When I built this particular bike I got areas in the vent holes that didn't get covered up, I think you managed to work them down great and you got 100% coverage. Splendid. Engine looks good! /Joel vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
