I have a 94 altima and I can't get my brake lights to go out. I replaced the brake light switch and it still stays on. What else can I do?

You may have fixed it already but I had the same problem with my '93. There are these rubber bumpers on the brake pedal that press the brake switch that were missing. You may of not noticed it but the only reason I noticed was cause I found these rubber pieces on the floor. Had to go to the dealer to get them.

(take foot off pedal) ha ha! make sure that you replaced the brake light switch and not the cruise switch they exactly the same; if you did not have to take steering colum down then you change the wrong switch..it is a real bitch to change i just did it on the same car. sincerly trucker1968
