Are you going to end up like Victor Kiam, the guy in those Remington shaver commercials who said he liked the product so much, he bought the company? If so, you're a little too late:frown: richtazz 07-13-2009, 12:24 PM I like the black Bob, so now you have 2? Greedy bastard... BNaylor 07-13-2009, 06:43 PM I like the black Bob, so now you have 2? Greedy bastard...  It beats spending $40K for an import. :uhoh: Rich, can you do me a favor and run the VIN like you did on the other GXP for GM RPO codes/options, etc. TIA. BTW - The color is dark slate metallic which came out for the 2008 model year only. It looks different in the day but does look black at night. :dunno: wlkjr 07-13-2009, 11:47 PM Second '08 GXP with 37K miles. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y186/lizzywiz/DSC01734.jpg How does it compare to the GTP? grandprixgtx00 07-14-2009, 12:02 AM How does it compare to the GTP? he said the GTP would still take it... BNaylor 07-14-2009, 06:10 AM How does it compare to the GTP? Wally, overall no contest in favor of the GXP. However, as mentioned my GTP is faster due to the few thousand dollar mods I've dumped into it over the past several years. These are two different cars based on the features and date of manufacture so there really is no comparison. richtazz 07-14-2009, 12:12 PM  It beats spending $40K for an import. :uhoh: Rich, can you do me a favor and run the VIN like you did on the other GXP for GM RPO codes/options, etc. TIA. BNaylor 07-14-2009, 10:57 PM Absolutely Bob, just send me a PM and I'd be glad to. Thanks Rich. PM sent. VR43000GT 07-14-2009, 11:13 PM It beats spending $40K for an import. :uhoh: Never any love Bob. In all seriousness, it looks like a very sharp car! Maybe you haven't had the chance to really get on either of the GXP's yet but if you have how is the torque steer on those things? I would imagine you get a decient amount of it with the 5.3L under the hood but there are definately cars that can supress the effect. grandprixgtx00 07-15-2009, 01:59 AM how is the torque steer on those things? one word...scary. i have an '06 Impala SS with the 5.3, wish i coulda got a GXP. much better built car. There is torque steer but no worse than a GP with a Series II/III 3800 supercharged engine. What the GM engineers did is came up with a weird tire/wheel combination to help minimize or control it. Specially made Z rated Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires. The front are P255/45R18 and the rear P225/50R18. Also, it has the FE4 suspension/handling package with Bilstein struts all around and higher rate strut coil springs. The Impala SS has the same size tires all around. :dunno: grandprixgtx00 07-15-2009, 02:18 PM The Impala SS has the same size tires all around. :dunno: it does...good point Bob. forgot that the GXP has wider tires in the front. like i said...GXP is a much better built car. drilled and slotted rotors...much better suspension...must i keep going? :shakehead aliasmax 07-15-2009, 03:31 PM 2000 GT bought new October 1999. 54,000 BNaylor 07-15-2009, 09:34 PM it does...good point Bob. forgot that the GXP has wider tires in the front. like i said...GXP is a much better built car. drilled and slotted rotors...much better suspension...must i keep going? :shakehead No I get your point. I looked at a used '09 Impala SS and what turned me off was the interior design and mainly the dash plus the price was ridiculous. Also, how about a HUD and Tap Shift? The over 12 inch special rotors with the GXP logo calipers are really nice but prone to premature failure. The first GXP I bought had a brake job done by the dealership under warranty according the the CarFax service history. Regardless if it is an Impala SS, Monte Carlo SS or GXP what we all have in common is the nice 5.3L V8 engine. :grinyes: troy1 07-15-2009, 09:58 PM 99 gt 113,342 grandprixgtx00 07-16-2009, 12:16 AM I looked at a used '09 Impala SS and what turned me off was the interior design and mainly the dash plus the price was ridiculous. yeah, i know what you mean. i'm not a real big fan of the interior either. really the only reason i bought this car is cuz i got a KILLER deal on it. bought the car in early 2008 for $14,995.00 out the door. car had some pretty mean hail damage on the hood so i bought a new one for it. car only had 13K on it. Also, how about a HUD and Tap Shift haha...more that i would have added to the list if i kept going  VR43000GT 07-16-2009, 02:32 PM  Thanks Alex. People that do the VR4 twin turbo conversion on their SL's have the most horrid torque steer you can imagine. If your arms weren't strong before the swap, they will be now. :shakehead If I am ever in your neck of the woods you have to give me a ride in it. :D AntiBroke 07-25-2009, 04:15 AM 2005 GP 3.8L just hit 110K miles n still goin good feels good to! http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/501/622675GP_22s_30000k_HID_green.jpg[/IMG] drfostes@gmail.com 07-25-2009, 06:19 AM drop there was nothing in your sig wylie 07-28-2009, 08:49 AM 99 GT over 330,000 k Oil pan leak. lots of suspension noise.
