what happened here was that the timing belt tensioner pulley bearing siezed up and stripped the belt..first it wore the belt down and then on the cold start one day it stripped the teeth off about 6" of the belt...the cam shaft gear and intermediate shaft were still linked by the belt....after putting it back together i had around 60#compression in three cylinders and i think about 150# in one....didn't seem right but it started and runs great after the new cap, rotor and plugs..no excessive valve noise at all...i just wonder if somehow i got a bad reading on compression some how..not likely as i had a screw in tester..it seems it would have to be the valve guides that are bad ...it sat long enough for all the oil to drain down...just don't see how three cylinders could be so consistently low but still start normally at 10 degrees and still seem to have decent power....i'll throw this in fyi...there are 145,000 miles on this engine
