The Vibe is a large compact, the G3 is a subcompact.

It is sold in the Canadian market as the Wave and does fairly well there.

It's also sold as the Chevy Aveo so the cost to extend it to pontiac dealerships was virtually nil.

It is sad GM decided to can the Grand Prix and then push the G8 which IMO is just a rehashed version of the GTO which is made by Holden in Australia. Plus the G8 is made in Australia too although a better car.

On any Chevy Aveo clone or re-badge which is typical of GM just don't ever get rear ended. I had a secretary buy one a few years ago and it was totaled out plus she had to spend time in the hospital.
