2005 Ecotec 2.2L burning out ignitoin modules

I have a 2005 ecotec 2.2L 4cyl, that has went through 2 used and 4 new modules in the last 6 months.

I have tried 2 new AC/Delco modules, 1 GB-Sorenson (advance auto's standard ignition label), and one from Carquest.

The used ones were as coil packs/ module assemblies via the salvage yard.

I have inspected wire harnasses, see no visible problems, no trouble codes, besides the misfire code once the modules fail.

I have tried running a seperate ground wire to the module mounting screw also.

Please help.

Let me guess you are using Bosch platinum plugs?

If so your going to need to get ride of those, Lots of GM cars do not run nicely with Bosch plugs especially the cavaliers and sunfires. Just put in some stock AcDelco plugs or NGK and your problem will be fixed, it is really that easy :)
