2003 Boxster

Am thinking of purchasing a 2003 Boxster with a MSRP of $46870. My dealer here in Florida is offereing it for $44000, $2870 under MSRP. Is this a good deal as there are not much dealers near me to compare.

Well??? Not really...there is NUMEROUS dealers selling theres at $39,000.00 now. Check out Texas (Houston area)...alot of good deals.

FWIW the MSRP on the BASE MODEL (read:no options) 2003 986 is $42,600. My car had an MSRP of about 52,000 and I walked out at 47,500 AFTER taxes.

Boxsters are not selling well right now because there are a lot of new sports cars out there, that, while inferior, are MUCH cheaper. To some people, that is acceptable, but as you know, there is no substitute.

Any car that can be had for less than MSRP is a good deal, just shop around for the BEST deal.

well you have to look at the options thats in the car.. i just bought mine for $47k /w registration, tax and everything... its 6 months old, fully loaded.. it feels so good driving the porsche around..
