93 Lumina Z34 heater control no lights

Ok heres one for you. I was putting my car stereo in and took out the heater control box to replace the light in the heater control. Um there isn't one. I thought if I popped open the black housing maybe there was one inside to replace. Um there isn't theres a circuit board attached to plastic posts that do not look like they come off. I do have control lights the orange one but I thought the white lettering in the lights glowed as well. Theres like this void in the middle of my dash with a orange light. I thought my 90 lumina euro did My 95 monte does. Can you help? Working on car stereo again and will be able to fix it tomorrow.
