Do you hear any clicking when you are turning a hard left or right when backing up or going forward at slow speeds??

Look at the rubber cv boots on the halfshafts (CV axle) are they torn or does it look like any grease has been thrown around. Also you should be able to check for worn joints by trying to move the axle shafts by hand.

Check your motor mounts as this sounds more like the problem. When you take off from a stop light with broken motor mounts the engine will move up and down making it appear to be a clunk.

Motor mounts. I just replaced my front one and the clunking has gone almost completely away. I suspect the rear could be done as well. You can test it though. Have someone sit in the drivers seat and with a good hold on the brake, raise the engine speed a little the motor should not move much. If it heaves dramtically, the mounts are broken.

Sorry it took so long the "clunking" was from the front motor mount it was shot. It has been replaced. I paid $170 to have it done, I could have got the part for around $50 bucks and saved myself some cash, but I didn't have the time.
